– Bridal Tulle / Veiling
A commonly asked question is what is the difference between veil fabrics, as the wedding veils available for today’s bride vary greatly. It helps to get an idea of the difference before selecting a wedding veil for your special day. Naturally we would be delighted to offer advice regarding suitability and options re trimmings and beading of the veil whether standard or cathedral length.
Silk Tulle
Silk tulle (€60.00 p.m.) made of 100% silk is very beautiful and drapes elegantly. French silk tulle is the most delicate, most fragile, and hardest silk tulle to deal with in creating a bridal veil. It is available in both a hard and soft finish. This silk can be used to create any length and number of tiers for a wedding veil. It is available in 180 cms wide.
Silk Organza
Silk organza (€38.00 p.m.)is an elegant semi-translucent stiff silk fabric. It is often an ideal choice if your gown is made with silk organza. Silk organza can be made in several lengths and tiers and is available in 137 cms wide.
Silk Chiffon
Silk chiffon (€38.00 p.m.) is fluid soft flowing non-translucent material made with highly twisted fibers and a soft finish. This fabric is made of 100% silk and has a grainy crepe like texture. One might choose silk chiffon due to personal preference for natural fibers or to match the fabric of a silk chiffon made bridal gown. Chiffon fabric wedding veils are best as single tier veils since the fabric is non-translucent. This fabric is weightier than bridal illusion or traditional tulle based veils. Silk Chiffon is available in 137 cms wide.
Bridal Illusion
Bridal Illusion (€15.00 p.m) is soft tulle made of 100% nylon. This fabric is best suited for veils with trims or applied bead work. Bridal Illusion tulle can be used to create any length and number of tiers for a wedding veil. It is available in 180 cms widths.
